Hadi has left

Last night, Hadi has left Berkeley (and US) for good. I sent him to the airport with Dewi and he picked an In-N-Out nearest to the airport to have his last dinner here. There could not be a better choice, my friend. I wish him luck for his future endeavors in singapore or indonesia.

Now that he's left, I'm left all alone in the Acton apartment. The place sure feels empty and lonely after so much cleanup and without Hadi and Lawrence. I only have 5 days left before the final walkthrough. I plan to have everything cleaned up by end of Saturday.

I'm gonna watch Holiday Bowl later with Pei. Cal vs Texas A&M. As much as I love my school, if they were to play like they did against USC and Stanford, I'm quite sure they're gonna lose this one. I don't have to remind you that they lost the Holiday Bowl to another Texas school 2 years ago.

I just found out how hard it is to blog for me. Normally, during my 45-mins drive to work, I can think of a lot of things to blog on. However, when I actually try to write one, the ideas disappear and I'm left staring at the white space.

Anyway, I'm gonna write on the following: The Craziest Thing you've ever done, My short trip to NY, Berkeley and maybe my plot summary of The Fountain - in my future entries.

Holiday and Moving out

I've only started work for 3 weeks. Yet, yesterday, my director slipped a gift card and chocolate into my desk so stealthily like a Santa Claus. Today, my co-worker in the next cubicle slipped a gift card too. ... and I haven't done any holiday shopping at all because I don't want or need to but I guess I better start now.

But it would be impossible this week because I am going to move from Berkeley to Mountain View starting this week. Moving is not only time-consuming, but hard to do too because it's sad to leave a place, especially one that you've been living for over 2 years. But I'll blog about Berkeley later.

I'm still thinking of whether or not I should go to NY this weekend. I was about to buy the tickets until I read tin's blog that she might have purchased a ticket to fly here. I'm still waiting to talk to tin to see if she's really coming. If she's coming this weekend, I'm not going to NY.

Rocky Balboa opens today. I'm really excited to see it. I'm a big fan of Stallone and Rocky, although Rocky III - V are more like enjoyable guilty pleasure cheesefest rather than actual good films. I overheard my coworkers talking about Rocky and I got excited.

Intro

Hi, Hallo World, Apa Kabar,

I am Ricky Polim, the writer/owner/master of this blog. This is basically an About Me and What I Write section.

About me:
- 20s, Indonesian, currently resides and work in US., loves movies, soccer and video games (nintendo!!)

I made a zombie flick once.

This is not my first time blogging:

I used to blog on Friendster blog before I switched to here. My very first blog was a bloated, excessive blog to review movies that has been abandoned. I don't recommend visiting that blog unless you want to vomit.

I will write about my boring daily activities, about movies, soccer, and video games, maybe politics and technologies and current affairs too. Anything under the sun, but I'll probably not say much about my work since I don't want to get fired for anything blog-related.

Anyway, in the past, I've been lazy in updating my blogs. So my goal with this blog is to write more and write regularly, which might imply lots of rubbish. But anyway, enjoy.
